From Pasta to Chicken: Tomato Sauce

The time when tomatoes are at their ripest and cheapest is slowly coming. As you know, winter is on the doorstep. We thought that you would consume the tomato sauce, which you prepared yourself towards the end of the summer and whose recipe includes spices, without hesitation in the winter, so we rolled up our sleeves.

If you prepare pasta today, you may want to make meatballs with tomato sauce tomorrow. It can even be used as a breakfast sauce , it is so useful.

Ingredients

salt
granulated sugar
garlic
olive oil
tomatoes
freshly ground black pepper
wine vinegar
fresh rosemary
fresh basil
ground red pepper

Wash the tomatoes, peel them and chop them roughly.

Heat the olive oil in a deep pan and grate the garlic on top. Add the rosemary and fry for a few minutes until the garlic starts to smell and the rosemary releases its aroma.

Remove the rosemary and add the tomatoes.

After adding salt, boil for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Puree it with a hand blender and add the sugar, vinegar, black pepper, red pepper and the basil that you have broken up with your hands.

After boiling for another 10 minutes, fill the sterilized jars with the tomato sauce while they are still hot, close the lids of the jars, and turn them upside down to cool.
